CHL classes

Rock Hill Arms & Mercantile offers classes for new applicants as well as renewal classes. Multimedia presentations, videos, hands-on instruction and demonstrations are part of the CHL class.
INSTRUCTOR
CHL classes are taught by Richard Griffin, who is Texas DPS certified. He has been teaching CHL classes since 2010. Griffin retired after serving 34 plus years with Georgia Pacific as their safety mgr.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY ROCK HILL ARMS
Included in the price of the class are passport photos, range fees, certificates and notary work. When you leave Rock Hill Arms, you will have everything you need to apply for the Texas CHL license.
SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS
You will need to bring a handgun with you if you have one....32 or larger caliber. If you do not have a pistol or revolver, you may rent one for class. You will also need 50 rounds of ammunition, which is also available at Rock Hill Arms. You will need eye and ear protection, which are available at RHA. Bring pens or pencils if you wish. The packet for application will be provided to you.

March 10
March 24
CLASS TIME: 8 AM TO 6 PM
Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. at Rock Hill Arms. Students need to be present to start class at this time. The State requires 10 hours of instruction for new applicants and 4 hours of instruction for renewals.
